And the last week of 2015 has finally arrived! For a perfect end of year, today’s post is about one of my addictions: tea! Tea is the most consumed drink in the world after water and it was originated in China many centuries ago. Teas are famous for their varied effects on our organism. While some teas have a calming effect, others give us energy. There are also the ones that have the power to cure, among other effects. Since it is almost a Science, there are many stores specialized on the ancient drink. In New York, for instance, there are many. So, today I am here to introduce you to one of the newest tea stores in NY and the one that stole my heart: the Australian T2 Tea. // Chegamos a última semana de 2015! E para encerrar o ano com chave de ouro, o assunto de hoje é sobre um dos meus vícios: chá! O chá é a bebida mais consumida no mundo depois da água e sua origem se deu na China milhares de anos atrás. Os chás são famosos por seus efeitos diversos no nosso organismo. Existem chás que acalmam, que dão energia, que curam, emagrecem, e por ai vai. Por ser quase uma ciência, existem lojas especializadas apenas na bebida milenar. Em Nova York mesmo é possível encontrar várias. Mas, hoje vou apresentar-lhes a recém-inaugurada loja de chás australiana que roubou meu coração: a T2 Tea.

T2 Tea is the biggest tea manufacturer in Australia and it has stores in the United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand and United States. The New York store that opened in Soho in 2014 is a dream to any “tea lover”. Right in the entrance there is a table with the different types of teas sold at the store, so it is possible to compare the ingredients and aromas. Believe me, it will be a challenge to choose only one tea! // A T2 Tea é a maior fabricante de chás australiana, e possui lojas no Reino Unido, Nova Zelândia e Estados Unidos. A loja de NY abriu no final de 2014 no Soho e é de endoidar qualquer "tomador de chá" de plantão. Logo na entrada da loja tem uma mesa cheia de potinhos com os mais de 200 tipos de chás vendidos. Assim, é possível comparar os ingredientes e sentir o aroma de cada tipo de chá. Acredite em mim, vai ser difícil escolher um só!

On the right side of the store there is a wall of the orange boxes with colorful “T2” tags, with teas made of the most varied ingredients from all over the world. There are teas for all the different tastes and objectives. If you don’t know how to choose the perfect tea for you, ask one of the sales associates. They will indicate you the best breakfast teas, the ones that are good to drink before bed and the ones that are good cold or with milk. Each tea box comes with a brief explanation about the tea, the ingredients, the best way to drink and how to prepare it. // A parede lateral da loja é forrada das caixinhas laranjas com etiquetas "T2" coloridas, com os chás de ingredientes vindos de todas as partes do globo e que satisfazem todos os gostos e finalidades desejados. Se não souber como escolher, peça ajuda a um dos vendedores. Eles vão saber indicar quais são os melhores chás para tomar no café da manhã, antes de dormir, os melhores para tomar gelado ou com leite. Cada caixinha vem com uma breve explicação sobre o chá, os ingredientes, a melhor forma de tomar e o modo de preparo.

In addition to the teas, T2 also has teaware, gift boxes and free tea tastings. Everything is extremely well crafted and presented! In the day of my visit to the store there was a special promotion where you would get a free teacup with a purchase of two boxes of tea. The teacup was so pretty that it was impossible to resist. I chose two different types of tea. One that is called “French Earl Grey”, which is an Earl Grey with a blend of fruits and flowers and the other called “Passion”, made with spices, ginseng and antioxidants. Both are delicious!! // Além dos chás, a T2 tem também apetrechos para preparo de chá, louças e caixas para presente. É tudo lindo! No dia que eu fui na loja, eles estavam com uma promoção em que, na compra de 2 caixinhas de chá, você ganhava uma xícara e pires de porcelana lindos. Impossível resistir! Eu escolhi um "French Earl Grey", que é o tradicional Earl Grey com uma mistura de flores e frutas e um outro chá que chama "Passion", feito com especiarias, ginseng e antioxidantes. Deliciosos!!
