The holiday season finally arrived! At least here in NY one cannot deny that Christmas is fast approaching. The Rockfeller Center Tree is already there; Saks has announced the window unveiling ceremony date and Starbucks changed the white cups to the red. To get in the “Christmas mood”, today’s post is about two stores: Christmas in New York and Jack’s. The first is the paradise of the Christmas ornaments, while the second is the paradise of “whatever you want for a small price”, and that includes Christmas ornaments. // Começou a temporada de preparativos para o Natal. Para quem anda por NY, o fato é inegável. A famosa ávore do Rockfeller Center já chegou, a Saks já marcou marcou a data da cerimônia de abertura das vitrines de final de ano, o Starbucks substituiu os copos brancos pelos vermelhos, e por ai vai. Para entrar no clima também, o post de hoje é sobre duas lojas: a Christmas in New York e a Jack’s. A primeira, é o paraíso da decoração de Natal. Já a segunda, é o paraíso do: “o que você quiser pelo menor preço possível”, incluindo produtos natalinos, é claro!

“Christmas in New York” is located in Little Italy, at 133 Mulberry Street. There, it is Christmas everyday, all year long. The store offers endless types and formats of ornaments. You can choose a theme for your Christmas tree and you will find it there, whether it is cupcakes or yellow cabs and empire states. Tip: they are with a holiday shop at the Bryant Park Winter Village, until January 4th. // A Christmas in New York fica no Little Italy (133 Mulberry Street). Lá, é Natal de janeiro a janeiro. A loja é simplesmente uma infinidade de ornamentos natalinos de todos os tipos. Dá pra escolher um tema e montar sua árvore de natal inteira lá. Que tal uma árvore de cupcakes? Ou quem sabe uma “a la New York”, com direito a taxis amarelos e Empire States? Dica: eles estão com uma pop-up store no Winter Village no Bryant Park até dia 4 de Janeiro. To help in the savings for the holidays, I would recommend Jack’s. It is one of the famous “dolar stores”, and it has a little bit of everything. You will also find Christmas ornaments there, together with a wide variety of other products. It is a great place to buy small kitchen appliances, phone accessories and chocolates! It is the cheapest place to buy Lindt and Ritter chocolates. There is always something to be found there! Jack’s is located on 45th street, between 6th and 7th ave. // Para ajudar nas economias de final de ano, a Jack’s é uma das famosas “dolar stores” o equivalente às nossas lojas de R$ 1,99, mas bem melhorada, diga-se de passagem. Lá você também vai encontrar enfeites de natal, entre outras milhares de coisas. É um ótimo lugar para comprar apetrechos de cozinha, acessórios para celular e chocolates! É a loja com os “Lindts” e “Ritters” mais baratos. Tem sempre alguma pechincha para descobrir! Fica na rua 45, entre a 6a e a 7a avenidas.
